Snack-loving burglar ID’d thanks to Cheetos stuck in her teeth

The perfect crime requires meticulous planning: there’s the outfit, the equipment, the strategy … and then there’s the snacks.

As a recent case in Oklahoma proves, an oversight in any one of these areas can scupper the whole operation.

A woman in the state found herself on the wrong side of a set of bars over the weekend thanks in no small part to her incriminating choice of on-the-job munchies.

Sharon Carr was busted for an attempted burglary after Cheetos dust stuck to her teeth helped cops link her to the crime, police said Monday.

Officers responded swiftly to a house in Tulsa around 8 p.m. Friday following a report that a burglar had broken into the property while a mom and her two young kids were home.

The caller said the suspect had pried a screen off her window to get inside but left without stealing anything, the Tulsa Police Department said in a statement.

Cops discovered that the peckish perp had already fled, but not before leaving a cheesy calling card on the floor near the open window – a bag of Cheetos and a bottle of water.

Investigators said the refreshments appeared to have been dropped accidentally during an attempted speedy getaway.

However, moments later the suspect – later identified as Carr – emerged from the shadows, police told news station KTUL

Officers put two and two together after noticing that Carr still had some Cheetos residue stuck between her teeth.

The mom also confirmed that Carr was the person she saw breaking into her home.

Carr was arrested without further incident on a first-degree burglary charge.

“A good reminder that Cheeto dust can be pretty hard to get rid of,” Tulsa police said in a Facebook post.
