Louisiana man arrested after the 15-year-old girl’s parents finally discover him hiding in her closet.
Regrettably, Narnia is not the only reason one must always check closets.
A Louisiana man has been busted after he secretly lived in a 15-year-old girl’s bedroom for a month while allegedly having sex with her.
Johnathan Rossmoine, 36, was discovered hiding inside the teen’s closet by her parents on Sunday after they heard noises coming from their daughter’s bedroom at their home in Spring Hill, Florida, Fox 13 reported.
Rossmoine told investigators that he first met the victim online two years ago through a virtual reality social platform known as VRChat.
He had since traveled to Florida on several occasions to have sex with the girl, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said.
The suspect started staying in the teen’s bedroom around five weeks ago and admitted to having sex with her, according to police.
“He and the young lady came up with the idea that he could just stay in her room if he hid in the closet whenever the parents came in,” Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Detective Tom Cameron told the channel.
“They kept the bedroom door closed and locked and whenever someone came to the door it gave them an opportunity to run and hide in the closet and open up the door to where maybe she was changing or something,” Cameron added.
Rossmoine currently faces charges for obscene communication and child sex, although police said his charges may be upgraded.
He is being held in Hernando County Jail on $25,000 bond.
