Cops nab NYC steakhouse shooter after terrifying incident

24-year-old suspect Arkies Sommerville is apprehended after allegedly opening fire at world famous Peter Luger’s and hitting two random diners.

They got him. Mr. Crazy is now in custody, thank god.

Brooklyn’s world famous Peter Luger Steakhouse was the scene of a shocking episode on Thursday night after a young hot head decided to fire some random rounds after a family argument.

The alleged shooter, now identified as 24-year-old Arkies Sommerville, is said to have opened fire outside the celebrated eatery, striking two men who were eating outside.

Sommerville is charged with two counts each of attempted murder, criminal use of a firearm, and criminal possession of a weapon, according to multiple local reports.

Police say he was at a family celebration inside the iconic restaurant when he became agitated and left around 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

He stormed out to the sidewalk, turned around near the outdoor seating area, and fired in the direction of the building.

The two diners he struck had nothing to do with the dispute.

One of them, a 57-year-old man, was shot in the stomach. The other, a 30-year-old man was shot in the shoulder.

They were both taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, and police said both are expected to survive.

The two men who were hit were eating at separate outdoor tables, and did not know the gunman, or each other.

Police say Sommerville tossed his gun and fled on foot, but he was caught about a block away at South 10th Street and Bedford Avenue.
