Monica Ann Bradford faces aggravated assault charge after allegedly taking drastic measure to scare away child revelers outside her home.
We get it. Not all folks take delight in the annual takeover of their streets by marauding bands of trick-or-treaters.
But few are as impervious to the Halloween spirit as the Texas woman who this year had a shocking trick up her own sleeve to beat back the hordes of candy seekers.
Monica Ann Bradford, 35, was arrested on Sunday after she allegedly pointed a loaded gun at a 7-year-old trick-or-treater outside her home.
Deputies responded to a residential street in Buda, a suburb of Austin, following reports of a disturbance at around 7:20 p.m, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office said.
A woman later identified as Bradford was seen yelling at a group of children in costumes standing by her residence.
She then allegedly went outside to confront the pint-sized revelers with a loaded gun, which she pointed at a 7-year-old child.
Bradford was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony.
She was booked into the Hays County Jail, where she is being held on a $10,000 bond, local station KXAN reported.
