Florida woman appeared to have grabbed the nearest thing to hand to vent her frustration on her husband.
In a jaw-dropping incident straight out of the Sunshine State, a Fort Pierce woman was arrested after allegedly attacking her husband with a dildo during a heated argument.
Julissa Negron, 50, found herself in hot water after a domestic dispute took an unexpected turn. According to police reports, officers were dispatched to a residence in response to a “disturbance in progress” involving Negron and her 52-year-old husband.
The husband told authorities that Negron had been staying with him temporarily while she gathered her belongings before relocating from Puerto Rico to Connecticut to “start her life over.” The couple, who tied the knot in Connecticut back in 2003, had been separated for some time, according to a report in The Smoking Gun.
While Negron had been “well-behaved” the previous day, things took a wild turn when she began consuming alcoholic beverages. Fueled by booze, she reportedly became disorderly and picked a fight over her husband’s Instagram followers.
As the argument escalated, Negron allegedly got in her husband’s face, seemingly trying to provoke him. When he threatened to call 911, Negron upped the ante by brandishing a dildo and striking him with it.
The arrest report remains tight-lipped about the specifics of the sex toy or its origin, and it’s unclear whether the police seized the unconventional weapon as evidence.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers were warned by the husband that Negron was inside, naked, and might “flash” them. He also recounted a history of abusive behavior from Negron, which had previously forced him to leave his own home.
Police found Negron in an agitated and disorderly state, reeking of alcohol. Attempts to get her side of the story proved futile, as she was uncooperative. Consequently, Negron was arrested and booked into the county jail on a misdemeanor battery charge.
She was released the following evening after posting a $1,000 bond and is slated to appear in court on March 24. A judge has ordered her to have no contact with her husband pending the outcome of the case.
This bizarre episode adds to Florida’s reputation for producing some of the most outlandish news stories, proving once again that truth is stranger than fiction in the Sunshine State.
