Woman punches cop trying to impound her pet pig

One person’s pet can be another’s pet hate. Yet one passionate animal lover in Texas would seem to have mixed feelings – at least about pigs.

Arianna Swenson, 34, was arrested Monday after she allegedly socked a police officer in the face for trying to impound her pot belly pig.

The Lone Star State lady was charged with assaulting a public servant in the alleged attack on Hooks Police Officer Cole Ogden, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by TXK Today.

Ogden and two Public Works Department employees were trying to corral Swenson’s pig in her neigbor’s yard, after receiving numerous complaints about the unruly animal.

Swenson spotted what the trio were doing to her beloved pet, came running down the street towards them, and then refused demands to “step back”, according to the affidavit.

She allegedly pushed the two public works employees away from the pig first, before striking Ogden flush in the face.

She was being held in the Bowie County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
