He certainly got an eyeful, and then some.
A man who thought he could, with impunity, check out a lady undressing in her boudoir got more than he bargained for after the target of his unwanted attentions shot him dead.
The alleged “peeping Tom” was fatally shot by the woman after he reportedly stood outside her bedroom window in Houston, Texas, police said.
Cops attended the scene at a home in the 8900 block of Irvington Boulevard after shots were heard at about 11:30 p.m. on Friday, according to police statements and local media reports.
When police arrived they found the body of a man who had been shot several times lying outside the house.
Houston Police Department confirmed the shooting in a tweet shared on Saturday, which read: “North officers are at a shooting scene 8900 Irvington. Adult male deceased at the scene, 202.”
The number 202, refers to the number of the lieutenant who shared the message on social media.
Police said the woman inside the home claimed to have been frightened when she saw the man looking through her bedroom window.
The unnamed woman said she felt directly threatened by the man, and that she then took her rifle and fired several shots through the wall in self-defense.
Officers said at least one struck the man in the torso and that he staggered a short distance before he died outside in the driveway outside the home
It is not believed there was any known relationship between the man and the woman inside the house.
Speaking to KTRK, Lieutenant R. Willkens said: “There was an adult female who was in one of the bedrooms and observed him looking in her windows. She was in fear. She had a rifle. She shot numerous times through the wall [and] ended up striking the male.
“The male ended up and passed out over here. He is dead on the scene.”
Houston police have since launched an investigation into the shooting. No one has been charged in connection with the incident.
