A Tennessee woman opened fire on staff through a Burger King drive-thru window after cops said she became enraged about the long wait time.
Stills of surveillance footage from the Memphis fast food joint show the deranged customer leaning through the open drive-thru window while brandishing a black handgun.
The incident happened Tuesday when the woman pulled up at the restaurant on Winchester Road in a gray sedan and snapped over having to wait for her order, police said in a statement.
The woman first exited the car and walked up to the window, where she got into a “verbal altercation” with staff.
The furious customer then returned to the vehicle to grab a gun before heading back to the open window, leaning through, and firing several shots at workers inside, according to police.
Staffers managed to flee through a back door and were unharmed.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
The unhinged patron was accompanied by a man who was the driver of the gray sedan, police said.
Crime Stoppers of Memphis and Shelby County Inc. are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
