He’s certainly carved a niche for himself in the annals of unusual boyfriend behavior and made his mark to boot.
But one Texas teenager won’t be winning an award for Mr. Nice Guy anytime soon.
Nineteen-year old Jackub Jackson Hildreth is accused of battering his girlfriend of just three weeks for hours inside a San Antonio apartment last week.
Hildreth is alleged to have punched the woman more than 10 times, breaking her jaw in three places.
However, the most horrific part of his assault without doubt was his attempt, using a knife, to carve his own name in his girlfriend’s forehead. The brutal attack reportedly lasted for hours and stretched from last Thursday night into the early hours of Friday morning.
Hildreth was arrested later on Friday and has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim, and presumably Hildreth’s now ex-girlfriend, was named as Catalina Mireles, 22.
She told local news outlet KSAT that she thought her deranged beau was going to kill her.
“He was going to put [me] in the closet until he figured out what he was going to do with my body,” she told KSAT, struggling to speak and with an extremely swollen face due to the injuries she sustained.
The two met on Facebook and, despite having been an item for such a short period of time, were already fighting about the status of their relationship when Hildreth decided to reach for his carving knife.
Despicable though Hildreth’s alleged conduct is, however, it can’t be said that he does onto others that which he wouldn’t do unto his own self.
The twisted teen, who also has several face tattoos, has multiple words carved onto his own face, including the phrase, “blessed” on his left cheek. He also apparently has Mireles’s name –– “Catalina” –– on his forehead as well.
Hildreth certainly doesn’t have a track record as a mild-mannered fellow. He has two outstanding warrants for other assault-related charges, according to local media. “I don’t ever want him to get out again because he’s going to hurt somebody else again,” Juanita Lopez, Mireles’s mother, told KSAT.
