Folks want themselves and their families looking their best over the festive season, but that’s no excuse for the truly shocking incident that unfolded at the weekend in Katy, Texas.
A man is now on the run after allegedly shooting his son’s barber three times in a row over a bad haircut, according to a report by KPRC.
The man’s son was waiting in a nearby car at the time and witnessed the mayhem, which broke loose at the Magic’s Kutts & Fades barber shop on Franz Road at around 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The 13-year-old boy had returned home after having his haircut, but later went back to the shop with his father.
The barber tried fixing the offending hairstyle for free, but his efforts weren’t enough to prevent an argument with the boy’s angry father.
At this point the father allegedly opened fire on the barber as his son looked on from their car outside.
“This is one of the worst ones I’ve heard, especially with your son being here, witnessing what you’re doing,” Harris County Detective Wallace Wyatt told KPRC.
The barber was taken to a local hospital and is said to be in a stable condition and expected to survive.
A tweet put out by Harris County Sheriff’s Office described the suspect as a black man, believed to be driving a 4-door sedan, possibly a Honda Accord.
