Serial flasher exposes full length of career to cops

Michigan perv admits offering unsolicited views for decades, could face life in prison.

There are people who’d make us thankful for social distancing even without a pandemic.

One such is Michigan man Steven Todd Pastoor, who admitted to exposing himself to unsuspecting victims in the western part of the state for over 20 years after being busted last week on his latest indecent assignment.

Kent County deputies were lucky enough to spot the 54-year-old on Wednesday, while he was standing outside naked from the waist down and peeping in through the window of an apartment building, according to court records obtained by MLive.com.

Police then arrested Pastoor at a nearby parking lot after tailing him as he set off half-naked towards the I-96.

The trouserless Grand Rapids resident “admitted to repeated exposures dating back to the late 1990s,” according to Deputy Paul VanRhee.

Police in fact believe Pastoor to be none other than the notorious “Cascade Flasher,” a habitual uncoverer who has exhibited his unwanted wares dozens of times in Cascade Township since 2003.

Pastoor was first identified as a suspect in January after he repeatedly targeted one woman who then installed security cameras at her home, the Detroit News reports.

During his decades-long career, he would typically don a hat and a shirt, but remain naked from the waist down.

Pastoor approached victims in parking lots, offices and even at their homes, often tapping on a window to attract attention before exposing himself and masturbating, according to deputies.

He would also stand by the highway and uncover himself while waving at passing traffic, police said.

Pastoor has been charged with indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person and aggravated indecent exposure. If convicted of the former charge he could face anything from a single day to life in prison.

Kent County investigators have not seen indecent exposure allegations “of this magnitude” before, according to Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young.

“We’ve devoted a lot of resources on this guy, trying to find the guy,” LaJoye-Young said.
