Woman accused of hiring four teens to murder ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend

A young woman in Louisiana was so incensed by her ex-girlfriend’s new romantic entanglement with a man that she allegedly hired a posse of teens to bump him off.

But the plot went awry when one of the would-be assasins backed out at the last second, authorities said.

Mykia Tyson, 20 and the four teenage boys she reportedly recruited were all busted this month over the aborted murder-for-hire scheme, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

After discovering her ex had a new beau, Tyson enlisted Delester Magee, 19, and three minors to kill him, detectives said.

She then allegedly drove the crew to the boyfriend’s house in Lacombe on June 5 to carry out the murder, local station WAFB reported.

But Magee apparently had a change of heart at the very last moment, deliberately missing the human target and firing multiple shots at the home instead.

No one was hurt, “but this could have very easily not been the case,” Sheriff Randy Smith told the outlet.

Tyson now faces a bevvy of charges, including solicitation for murder and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

Meanwhile, Magee has been charged with aggravated criminal damage to property, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and criminal conspiracy.

Authorities declined to name the three other accomplices, a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds, since they are underage.

Each was arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated criminal damage, and later released via a custodial agreement.
