A Florida woman was busted for allegedly posting a fake online sex ad entitled “Fresh Meth Tonight,” which sent eager suitors to her love rival’s home looking for action.
Vanessa Marie Huckaba, 29, of Rockland Key, set up a profile under the name “Islandbabe1234” on the website Seeking Arrangement, using the name, photo, cellphone number and address of a woman who was dating her ex-boyfriend, according to an arrest report obtained by The Miami Herald.
“Multiple strangers began arriving at the victim’s residence thereafter,” Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Adam Linhardt said. Other respondents sent the woman naked selfies.
The unnamed 36-year-old victim said that Huckaba began harassing her in October after she started dating a man Huckaba had previously been in a relationship with for six months, the report states.
Despite having never met her tormentor, she allegedly received a string of menacing phone calls and messages from Huckaba, including one that threatened “You think texts are bad, next is your house and your job.”
The victim blocked Huckaba on her phone, but continued to receive calls from her from different numbers, police said.
She was eventually granted a restraining order on Oct. 28, which Huckaba allegedly ignored by posting the fake sex ad in the victim’s name.
Huckaba was arrested Saturday and taken to jail on charges of cyberstalking and making harassing phone calls, both misdemeanors. She was released the same day on $5,000 bond and is awaiting her first court appearance.
